It isn't chilly, Its beautiful....Winter comes for me..

Phew! It might seem crazy for a grown up to start writing about the favourite season. You would say, "Nuts??" Even I had never imagined in life that I would present it as to why I have always loved winter and wait with the countdown to let it come and make me live, rejoice. Oh! I forgot some winter haters would be reading this and would be in disagreement. Well that brings me to the reason for posting this, I recently saw more than just a few sweet people I know, who hate winter, or are scared of the chill and the cold it brings, and hence, was tempted to let them see the unexplored beauty that this season brings. Here, I am a mere winter-lover and this is just a futile attempt but a gist of what depth and love I find from October to February.

Though when I walk without a jacket or stand outside shivering, I am taken as another insane girl, but I love it. Now, it is not just lately, I had realized a few years back that I had always loved winter, and as I grew up, I got more reasons to do so. As a child of course, it seemed painful to come out of the blanket, get ready for school, and shiver in the blazer/sweater. Being fully covered too, did not work at times(especially as it is said, the era of global cooling reduces temperature every year). I am no supergirl, I shivered equally. Yes I did! But again, I loved to do so. How you would ask now? Well, I had endless reasons for that. Winter, in school days, always brought Diwali (my favourite festival). Favourite, not for the crackers, but for the lights that gave me a feeling of unknown joy and victory. Now, you would say even Holi comes in the chill, but sorry I do not like the way it is celebrated, putting colours without a thought on others. Coming back to Winter, I loved the season of festivals. Be it the typical brahmin family diwali puja all night, or the festivals that followed. Christmas in the utter chill brought immense joy to me. Being in those schools, I could enjoy the carols season in December. Though, we had unit tests too, but that didn't spoil the joy. It was on chilly nights, that we welcomed new year as children, and still do. How  could I hate such a season!

Tracing back again, the most lovable part that leaves me mesmerized in winter is the night and the breeze, the awesome Darjeeling weather(my favourite place), and that feeling of surrendering myself to it. Somehow the love that I have for my songs or my poems or the books I read, or the places I visit, it all accumulates and forms the love for winter.Yes, I love to go to the terrace at night without a jacket, and open my arms to let the breeze hug me, and give everything it brings, that ecstasy! Of course, I feel the chill, but when I shiver, that warmth of the love I find for nature protects me, it brings to me the beauty and not the chill. I love it when I see a sky with the moon, and the breeze touches my face, it makes me fly when I think of the love, the eternal love and completeness that can be found in nature this way, the one that exists inside all of us, but seldom recognized. I love to keep the windows down when I drive in winter nights, to peep out into the balcony at midnight, just to get a wave of breeze. Another lovable aspect, especially in Jabalpur about winter is that it never comes without rain. Yes! another favourite thing for me. When it rains, everybody loves to get wet without a raincoat. Now, just try it in winter too, with that feeling of love I explained above. Let those drops go from your face to your soul and make you complete. God has sent this miracle for you! How can you miss it!

I was always the last one to start wearing jackets or increase their number and the first to stop wearing jackets or to reduce their number in college too. Friends saw me as insane plus a show-off, a girl trying to show that she is daring! I never minded but that was definitely not the reason. However, I did not explain them my reasons of course. Whenever at 2 in the night, I went for a hair wash(using cold water like always), my mother used to think I am trying to challenge my health, but that was not so. So sweet of her, that she surrendered to my love for winter.Again, I am not trying to show off that I do not feel cold. Everybody would, but just telling some sweet people how I love winter, and wait for it every year to shower the blessings of that feeling God sends for me. Hence, I am just trying to say, go once, experience it, it welcomes you with open arms, fall in love with the winter season, it comes only for you!!

The Concept Of Soulmates

This is just a review that I had on what I read about the concept of soulmates. This is a completely personal outlook and everybody might have different views.

I do not know if the kind of immortality that Paulo Coelho has explained in ‘Brida’ about the everlasting existence of every part of the soul that lives inside every being that exists on the Earth is true, but there is something called faith and belief, that is far beyond the materialistic world and much ahead of the concept of worldly matters. If the soul exists beyond the world, then after peace, there is a stage of salvation too, and if we human beings attain it during our lifetime, we have achieved the eternal truth of an individual’s existence. It is true that in every incarnation, that part of the soul which exists inside our body, has a part of it somewhere on the Earth, the one which had been a part of us in our previous births, and it is a fact, that this part had been the one, which was split into two when we left our body in the previous incarnation, but it had never left the universe actually. A part of it remained here, wandering in the universe, and the other part was the one which came into our body in the next incarnation.

According to the ‘Theory of Relativity’ by Einstein and even the facts of science, this idea has been supported well, that everything that was once created in the universe, always remains here, because nothing can ever escape the Earth. It just undergoes phase transformations, be it body or soul, as we have studied for every particle by the ‘Law of Conservation of Energy and Matter’. So, it is comprehended that the soul that we had once left as a part is still there on the Earth in this incarnation, and this is the soul which is actually a part of us, and completes our being. It is possible that we may not be able to recognise that soul, but this is true, that the one who possesses that part of our soul from any of our incarnations is our soul mate. There are ways explained in spiritual sciences to recognize the soul mate. It is said that after gaining the complete knowledge of them, the person can see a point of light above the left shoulder of his/her soul mate and feel the strong attracting waves between them. Nevertheless, for common human beings, who are not aware of the deep knowledge, it is said that the soul mate has a special kind of light in the eyes that is visible only to the counterpart. Also, the strong waves of emotions can be felt.

However, because of so many incarnations and subdivisions of our original soul, it so happens that the oldest subdivision becomes weaker in strength. Plus, it is possible that there are more than one soul mates on this Earth in one incarnation that have the same root soul! It is even possible that we meet none, one or more of them. In that case, where more than one soul mates are concerned, there is always a phase of suffering. It is not necessary that the spiritual soul mate who is our counterpart remains with us forever. In fact, it seldom happens in reality. It might be short-termed, when we meet our soul mate and recognise him/her, just for a moment , but it is always beautiful and has an everlasting effect, wherein the memory remains in the soul even after we leave the body.

We humans might be living in the illusion that we want money, power or fame, but the actual quest that humans have during their life unconsciously, is for happiness, peace and their counterpart. The journey gets completed when knowledge meets power and the wisdom of magic is created. The discontentment is caused when this path to traverse seems complicated in the search. When these soul mates have to go apart, humans undergo the worst phase of suffering and loneliness that could harm the soul, or could even deviate them from the path of peace. However, it can be retraced once the counterpart is united, wherein the search gets completed when salvation is to be achieved at the time they depart from the world. Since the two souls are a part of each other, it is believed that the strong waves of emotions felt by one soul, be it severe pain, happiness or discontentment, are in some way, felt by the other one too, might be unknowingly. That probably explains the beliefs that soul mates who are away, can always sense the intensity of emotions by a kind of telepathy. It is possible that consciously they might be thinking of something else, but the subconscious mind can feel a sudden rise or fall of the energy waves within and make out that something has happened. It is explained by the scientists as a tinge of waves in the mind, getting affected irrespective of the present normal conscious state of one’s own soul.

LOOK BEYOND THE VIEW ONCE

During my trip around North India recently, I got to experience some new facts, that so many of us must have experienced sometime in life, not talking solely about ladies my age, I intend to point towards the male majority too. We always tend to take a look on the surface and come to conclusions. A common mistake that we often commit and sometimes, this has an effect on our complete life. Haven't we tried to judge people or situations by merely what they seem, too often? Sometimes people who seem to be true are not actually so, and vice versa. Leave alone what we see around us, if we take a deep insight into ourselves, we'll find that we do the same with ourselves too! It has happened so many times when I've heard people saying that they hadn't got what they wanted and that's the reason they are left abandoned even to themselves. What we don't seem to understand is that our life is not so cheap that it should be judged by something that we couldn't achieve despite all our efforts. Somehow, I agree, this fact holds true that our destiny is judged by God and we are mere puppets in some situations, but it does not leave us with the choice of losing interest in everything else either.

I am sure God does not want to prove so by not letting us get what we wanted. Take a deeper look, beneath the surface lies the fruit, and so might be the case here. When we don't achieve our dreams, it does not mean we were not worth it, sometimes it simply means we are destined to something that could prove us to be better. As simple as that, if I could not go to the peak I desired, despite my efforts, I am meant to get to another peak for sure. Yes, everybody in this world is meant to get to a peak, only if we don't underestimate ourselves, and probably the intensity and level of the peak may vary from person to person. Parallely, the fact of being alone leaves people equally depressed. There are times when we need to realise that some chapters are meant to be suspended for something good inside the cover. This could be done only when we try to remember that every morning comes with something in hand for every individual. Here, I am not saying that we need to get our brain washed and come newly born again. Of course, we are not super heroes/super heroines. I am sure about it that nobody actually moves on in life, because the actual meaning of the phrase says 'to leave it'. Believe me, nobody actually leaves anything happened in the past. Had it been so, there would have been no memories. At a certain point in life, our unfulfilled desires and dreams will always haunt us. By moving on, it is meant that we do not let them dominate us with the same intensity as they did earlier, and slowly, they would not affect us that much; this being a well-known fact that the earnest desires are never forgotten.

It is possible that at this point having started off somewhere else, we feel that urge to get back, to start it all over again. Give it a try, and it'll be known why it isn't favourable for us. Nevertheless, even we have not been authorised by God to harass our souls. There are yet possibly unknown chapters to be added in the book of life, and the author is none other than us, the mentor being God; he merely gives us directions in which we should proceed and walking towards them depends on us. At one point of life, we will look back and realise how petty issues had made us suffer to the extent that they should not have and how our changing the directions helped us and brought us where we stand. Of course,as humans, we tend to cherish the past, and trust me, memories are something that belong to us solely, without anyone else's interruption. However, faith is the key that would lead us to the peak where we are meant to shine, and to the dreams meant to be fulfilled for us only. The only turning point in our journey is the one where we start following the right path, where faith, duty and trust would be productive too, for the feeling of contentment when we depart. It is true indeed that if its done correctly, living life once is enough.

I walked a thousand roads before I travelled mine,
I lost my soul before I regained it again in time,
When I look back now, it seems the perfect journey,
Though Everything that I saw still comes as a view,
And I witnessed how I found it all by mistakes,
Yes I remember how it affected me though,
Yet, I know this was the perfect one,
In the end, the journey I had, brought me here.

You're on a Voyage- Part III

Most of us are going to enter a new phase of life soon, and all I can recall about this change is something that a friend of mine had remarked on the farewell eve, and which I too have believed at some point or the other.
Every stage of life gives memorable exeriences, good or bad ones, but memorable. We know what we can carry ahead in life, and more than the list of what should be done, we are well-versed with what should not be done- another criteria of learning from a stage.

Yes, definitely every stage of life leaves us with some lifetime experiences, cherishable or disastrous. It is only the way we look at them. Whe we know a phase has ended, it is always better to remember everything as an experience that is over. It not only helps to reduce the bitterness for the same but also opens up our minds for what comes next. Of course, things don't remain the same anymore, and so it is time to confront with them and come to a conclusion.Broken or uncertain relationships, confused decisions, unfaithful friends, and misgivings of the past cannot be carried all along the journey. There comes a time when it is necessary to forget them and move ahead, for the prison of past in which one lives can never harness the potential one has.

A person who can win over the past, sufferings and pain is the one who is always victorious and remains happy and contented.

It is always feasible to behave the way world behaves with us, because the soul that resides inside us has got no reason to suffer for anybody who doesn't care. There we see the importance of the saying. "Treat others the you want them to treat you". Believe me, vice-versa is equally applicable. When we see it is painful to carry something, it is better to discard it. There might be several reasons for why it happens. When people know it is the end of a phase, their behaviour changes, and many a times they show their real colours. Probably the reason why ,towards the end of a phase in life, we get to know the people for lifetime communication or those who would never be in touch since then. It cannot be seen as a fault in others, a natural human aspect- which we can call as gaining opportunity from what comes in front. The best part to remember is that they never seemed to be that way when they went all along. I have seen people making mistakes but still putting the blame on the one who was affected by the consequences. Nevertheless, this gives us an opportunity to finally make the decision of giving up, and trust me, life turns energetic and creative for new stages after that.

Yet, at the end of a stage, we remember everything, and just near about the end, everything comes with a flash, let it come, it might be for the last time perhaps, and would never trouble after this. Of course, it is good to remember everything that happened or we learnt. It would surely help us sometime in life, and after a certain period, we would even forget the bitter sufferings and remember them as mere experiences. But, till then, it is absolutely alright to wake up from what does not hold true anymore, and remember only what gave pleasure, so that the end of this stage would prepare us for another one yet to come openly.

ALL THE BEST for a new stage of life!!

You're on a Voyage- Part II

Today, a rendezvous with a very old school friend made me wonder about a very basic saying, "Time flies, and so do people." So true!! When we started, we met some people whom we now called good old friends. We never actually realize how long it has been till we look back, and trust me looking back is not always bad. Sometimes it is needed to remind us of how we used to be, how  we are now, and it does help to decide how we should be. Its true that situations are not always the same, but to some extent, our past never leaves us. It always has some impact on us, be it in any way, be it the smallest ever. The strange part about it is that, even if it does not hold any importance at present, it always affects the same. We never realize it until we face it personally. And what more, we always love to cherish it, and somehow, long lost moments always help to remind us how we can improve some part of our present.

When we had started, we were taught "Treat others the way you want them to treat you." As we went further, the places changed and so did our friends, but this statement always held true in our lives. However, the strange fact is that we always tend to forget this as we grow up. Often we might complain that our loved ones have changed, but we never realize that even we have! Again, its appropriate to say, "Look into your ownself first."  Another friend at college made me wonder why we end up blaming others first, is it that we don't see our own mistakes or that we ignore them purposely just for the sake of being on the cleaner side?

Whatever be the reason, such situations always leave some depressions in the already-filled heart, that can never be actually filled again. If you are tired of people who keep on blaming you and you can't say anything, then, of course the best way to handle such a situation is to keep quiet and let actions go in the desired way. Every person in this world is mature enough to know what should be done, when and how. Forcing somebody to do something we want only creates tensions which can not be handled. And they were never wrong, when those old people used to say, "Time is the greatest healer." You shall see that after quite a long time, things would turn neutral, if not negative.

When things you look at have to be changed, it is better that you start being open to every idea that comes to your mind, rather than being confined to a particular one. There is no point explaining people when they can't understand because one can't keep giving explanations to people who don't want to understand. When you walk with an open mind, you will never find  things wrong and ultimately your reactions towards situations will become normal on their own. That would be the time when you will not get affected by anything on your journey called "life".

You're on a Voyage- Part I

When I was a child, I got to read in many books that life is a journey and trust me I never really had an idea as to what it meant. I heard people saying that we have to travel till the end and at every stage we have some stoppages. Again, to be very true, I always thought either they were crazy or I was untouched by that aspect of life. As time passed by, I had many experiences of  this side too deeply, and now I can say I know very well that those people were not fools, and all that was there in those books was not a mere crap.

Isn't it true for everyone as well? When you start to walk, there is unbounded energy inside and you're sure you'll get to the desired destination, even if you have no idea how to get there. As you continue, you have numerous unexpected obstacles that lower your energy, and leave you clueless. Sometimes, you land up being doubtful whether you should continue on the same track or not. But somehow, you still do, and by the end, you know that life is a journey.

A journey- where you have so many roads that you came across; there were some you'd decided to follow, but you actually did not; some which you had never thought of taking but you followed; some which others chose for you, and yet others which you still wish to take someday. Sometimes you might look back and ponder upon the ones you could never choose for yourself, or the ones that you wanted, but as you keep travelling the ones in your present, you get used to them somehow and they form a part of your life-good or bad. Each road that you follow leaves an unforgettable lesson for you. Its like the lessons that you learn in schools but with a broader perspective.

The strangest fact that remains here is that a midst all this you keep walking and somehow even you get to prove that 'Life goes on'.

Its a journey where you meet people, thousands of them, some stay for a few minutes, others who stay for long, some whom you just keep in a faint memory, and others who leave a deep impact, and almost nobody stays till the end with you. You would have had many people who used to be a part of your life, at sometime or the other. Believe me, it doesn't matter, if they remain with you or not, because those that left you earlier, gave you the not-so-deep-yet-important lessons. Others who left you after long, gave you the assets which you would definitely find useful, even if they seem negative now. Trust me, every person whom you live with, is going to hurt you or break your trust at sometime in life. It depends on you how you accept the situation and how you still want them. After all, you are a human being and your most important characteristic that you have learnt since primary school is that you are a social creature. Well, this fact earns you so many moments that a human brain cannot even record all of them. Yes, you are never alone, you are surrounded by a world yet unexplored, and people you haven't yet met.

Everyday you might have your normal chores to be done, but as you continue, there is something new that you learn, and something still unknown to you. The greatest secret of life is that it never opens all its cards at any stage, and when you recollect yourself from what remains after all your failures or grievances, you still have many more moments to live, roads to travel, and people yet to meet, all in this voyage and there is somebody who has been all along with you- of course that's you!!
